POSITION: Medical Director – Pathology Location: Ohio & Seattle Washington
REQ# HCA- 502P Salary Range: $250K - $360K
REQUIREMENTS:
Proactive engagement with clients and ability to build customer relations
Regularly consult with peers as a local subject matter expert
Regular participation in departmental management activities and leadership role in departmental educational activities
Active participation in external professional activities such as publishing, educational presentations, panel discussions, etc.
Regularly interact with clients to improve customer satisfaction as part of the sales, account relations and business development processes.
Administration and management responsibilities for department including budget planning and control.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor all work performed in the laboratory to determine that medically reliable results are being generated; correlate laboratory data for diagnosis and patient management. Strategic Planning, provide oversight for Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology Procedures. Provide consultations to physicians regarding the medical significance of laboratory findings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years of prior experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient laboratory setting.
Board Certification in a subspecialty area within Clinical Pathology – preferably in Clinical or Anatomic Pathology.
Previous experience in management of other pathologists and/or laboratory personnel.
MD Licensure (or qualifications for licensure) for Ohio
