POSITION:  Hardware Engineering Manager                                 Location: Boulder, Co



REQ# HCA-500                                         Salary Range: $89,800 to $125,000 + 15% Bonus


REQUIREMENTS:
Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians in the planning, development, prototyping, documentation, test and qualification of electronic designs for innovative and high-performance electronic medical devices.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and ensuring consistent project planning, technical development plans, FMEA and Risk Management, and design rigor throughout all projects that is consistent with and in accordance with FDA/QSR for Medical Devices


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS or MS degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering , plus a minimum of 10 years in the design and development of digital and analog circuitry.
  • Minimum of 1 year functional management experience, or project manager/lead.
  • Familiarity with analog and digital circuitry, PCB layout, EMI/EMC design and testing techniques, portable power/battery technology, and noise filtering
  • Successful product lifecycle experience, from the conceptual stage through product launch and into post-launch support
  • Solid experience in Product Development Processes. Working knowledge of stage/phase-gate product development processes relating to medical devices a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of Medical Device standards, such as FDA's QSRs, ISO, IEC etc.
  • Experience with electrical CAD tools, such as OrCad schematic capture and PADS layout
  • Knowledge of project management techniques such as scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.  Experience with MS Project, Gantt charts, and WBS
