POSITION:  Vice President – Supply Chain Development           Location: Pennsylvania (Western)


REQ# HCA- J1                                                        Salary Range: $140K - $190K w/bonus 0% - 30%




REQUIREMENTS:

•An engineering bachelor's degree or business administration with significant experience in heavy manufacturing working for a business that is in a made to order capital good business with a strong engineering component with a service model consisting of multiple locations supplying customized parts repair and overhaul services. Experience would encompass sales procurement and operations on an international level.

•An understanding of financial industry and world structure and operations is required and the candidate must posses experience managing a culturally diverse procurement organization.

•Position requires the ability to analyze complex issues propose solutions and get acceptance of the solutions by peers in executive management business unit and support function leaders. Familiar with Total Cost concept.

•Prefer experience with rotating equipment supplier or an aligned industry serving as a supplier to customers in the energy markets of oil gas petrochemical bio-fuel and electricity.

•Procurement management experience in low cost countries such as China and India would be beneficial


RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Manages current knowledge of developments trends competitive environment and regulatory changes of the supply market in the best interest of company. Insures sufficient research on international markets governments prospective partners and perform competitive analysis for impact on corporate future.

•Maintains top level view of company capabilities competitive threats economic situation trends and opportunities in the world consistent with the companys mission.

•Integrates business unit supply chain business plans and needs into one corporate plan eliminating duplication and conflicts.

•Coordinates among all operations their procurement processes into an efficient single approach to procurement implemented globally. Develops strategic sourcing agreements where applicable supporting requirements of performance goals for group.

•Builds relationships and manage the delivery of consultative processes with stakeholders in line with corporate strategies.

•Assists business units with data and guidance in preparing business unit strategic plan by a close relationship to business units business supply chain functions. Guides the long term supply chain planning of the company.

•Initiates novel sourcing strategies in conjunction with the business units.

•Leads the search and evaluation of potential suppliers and strategic partners in concert with the business units.

•Develops tactically consistent vendors (common Approved Vendor List) and processes where ongoing competitive market approach is warranted. Manages vendor relationships through QA audits metric reviews etc. to ensure vendor is performing to meet company's expectations in terms of delivery quality and cost of services and or products.

•Assists business units in developing unified route to suppliers including alliances. Identifies (or receives) and develops initial strategies and business planning for new supply chain strategic initiatives.

•Insures critical business data bases for development activity are maintained.

•Develops process to capture and report vendor performance to key metrics such as company’s  on time performance cycle time quality and cost.

•Communicates information to key vendors business units etc. to manage procurement processes in best support of  company's business objectives.
