POSITION: Senior Credit Analyst Location: Kennet Sq, PA

REQUIREMENTS:
As a key member of the credit organization, this position will require a thorough understanding of the physical and financial products offered by the Company and the marketplace in order to properly assess and monitor counterparty credit/risk issues. The candidate will also need to demonstrate strategic thinking capabilities to elevate the credit function throughout the organization. The primary function for this position will be to provide expertise in evaluation, analysis, monitoring and establishment of credit limits for all counterparties transacting in the following products (electricity, oil, natural gas, coal, emission allowances, NYMEX and other derivative contracts) throughout the trading organization and wholesale/retail commercial business groups. The candidate will also act as a liaison for energy trading counterparties regarding Exelon Generation’s creditworthiness and assist Legal in the timely and accurate execution of enabling agreements. The candidate will provide real-time credit analysis and approvals for short-term and long-term transactions, as well as, manage external customer expectations and requirements
- Manage a portfolio of existing counterparty relationships and handle new relationships as needed
- Analyze counterparties’ financial statements to determine creditworthiness
- Determine and monitor counterparty credit limits
- Assist in securing and managing of counterparty credit assurances
- Monitor aged receivables to ensure collection
- Ability to design ad hoc management level reports for proper credit and risk assessments
- Perform presentations to senior management that include credit decisions and recommendations
- Manage credit relationships with Independent System Operators
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum 4 - 6 years of experience in a business related field
- Formal bank credit training and/or MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve new and complex problems
- Advanced understanding of credit and risk management fundamentals
- Thorough understanding of Mark to Market calculations and valuations of
forward contract positions
- Strong written skills and the ability to put analysis in a clear and concise
format
- Advanced understanding of financial and wholesale energy trading
markets
- Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills with ability to
handle multiple duties
- Ability to work as a team member required.
